Description
Acer palmatum ‘Beni Maiko’ displays shocking pink/bright red, deeply lobed foliage in the spring which turns pinkish-red followed by green in the summer and then bursts into vibrant orange and fiery red autumn colours.
This Japanese Maple will grow to approximately 3 x 3 metres over 20 years in an attractive compact form. ‘Beni Maiko’ prefers moist, well-drained soil and is best positioned in slight shade although it is tolerant of full sun. Planted as a specimen or with other plants, ‘Beni Maiko’ makes a fantastic small garden tree, with particularly good interest in the spring and autumn.
