Description
Berberis thunbergii ‘Diabolicum’, is one of the least demanding and easy to grow of the deciduous barberries. A good shrub for year-round interest, it has delightful primrose yellow young foliage gradually turning pale yellow through the summer with red autumn tints. Excellent in contrast with deep purple foliaged shrubs. Pale straw yellow flowers are produced in April.
Grow Berberis thunbergii ‘Diabolicum’, in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Prune straggly stems in autumn.
