Lobelia siphilitica, commonly called great lobelia or blue cardinal flower, is a clump forming perennial which typically grows in moist to wet locations along streams, springs, meadows and in low wooded areas. In late summer, light to dark blue, tubular flowers arise from the upper leaf axils of lance-shaped, light green leaves.
