Phormium Platts Black

Description

Possibly the darkest of all Phormiums, Platt’s Black makes a dramatic statement when partnered with brightly coloured plants. The arching, narrow, lustrous evergreen foliage has a rich chocolate black colour. Use as an accent, specimen, container plant or backdrop to add unique colour and texture, try planting with a lime green, something like the alchmilla mollis for a vibrant contrast. They are evergreen and so give structure to the bed all year round.
