Description
The dwarf mountain pine, Pinus mugo, is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to the mountain ranges of Europe.
This variety produces beautifully bright, golden yellow needles from autumn through winter that will give a spectacular contrast against greens and other colours in the garden. During the spring and summer months the needle colour will fade to a darker green, before the golden colour emerges again the following autumn. Grow in moist, acidic, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerant of a variety of soil types, including poor soils, as long as the drainage is good.
