Description

Primula viallii, also known as Vial’s Primrose, is a compact hardy perennial that produces upright poker-shaped spikes of lilac flowers with red tips throughout the summer months. It’s pollen-rich flowers are great for attracting wildlife. It loves partial shade and grows well in damp, wet ground, making it the perfect addition for woodland planting schemes or shaded beds. It grows to about 45cm in height, with a compact with of 30cm. Clumps can be divided in the autumn just after flowering.
