Description
Prunus Sunburst is one of the latest ripening cherries. Its large and sweet flavoured fruit turns almost black when ripe. The delicious fruit can be eaten straight from the tree or be used for cooking. Cherry Sunburst is self-fertile and a large harvest can be expected in August. Although it is primarily grown for its fruit, this cherry cultivar can be used as an ornamental tree as well.
The easily recognisable, white cherry blossoms unfold in the spring. The scented flowers are particularly appealing to insects which earned this cultivar the Perfect for Pollinators badge.
