Prunus ‘Snow Goose’

Prunus ‘Tai Haku’ (Great White Cherry)

For those who want drama on a truly impressive scale, Prunus ‘Tai Haku’ is outstanding. We currently stock an exceptional range—from 18-20cm girth specimens right through to magnificent 35-40cm mature trees. The Great White Cherry lives up to its name with some of the largest white cherry blossoms you’ll see—each flower reaching up to 6cm across. Combined with striking coppery-bronze young leaves, the spring display is absolutely breathtaking.

Carpinus betulus ‘Fastigiata’ (Fastigiate Hornbeam)

We have standard specimens available up to 30-35cm girth—impressive trees with that characteristic upright, columnar habit. Fresh green spring foliage transforms to warm gold in autumn, and the tree retains its dried leaves through winter, offering year-round structure and interest.

Ideal for: Formal avenues, compact urban gardens, or framing doorways and gates where width is restricted but vertical impact is desired.

Tilia cordata ‘Erecta’ (Upright Small-Leaved Lime)

Another superb choice for vertical accent is Tilia cordata ‘Erecta’, available in 20-25cm and 25-30cm girth. This lovely upright lime features dense, heart-shaped foliage and sweetly fragrant summer flowers that are a magnet for pollinators. Pinus sylvestris (Scots Pine)

We’re particularly proud of our current collection—ranging from 3-4 metres through to magnificent 8-10 metre specimens, all with a clear stem to 160cm. These are trees with genuine presence, their characteristic orange-red bark and blue-green needles providing year-round visual interest.

Populus tremula (Aspen)

For something rather more distinctive, Fagus sylvatica ‘Dawyck Green’ offers a striking columnar alternative to traditional beech. Available in 14-16cm girth, this fastigiate form delivers all the beauty of beech—fresh green spring growth, glossy summer foliage, and warm copper autumn tones—in a narrow, upright habit ideal for formal gardens or more compact spaces.

The Classic White Birch

Betula pendula Alba (White Birch)

We’ve experienced exceptional demand for our birch specimens this season—so much so that Betula ‘Zwitsers Glory’ has completely sold out on pre-order. However, we have a wonderful alternative: Betula pendula Alba, slightly whiter than the classic silver birch, available in superbly mature sizes of 35-40cm and 40-45cm girth. These are magnificently mature specimens standing 6 metres plus, with that iconic white bark and graceful, weeping habit that makes birch such an enduring garden favourite.

Why white birch? It’s perfectly suited to UK gardens, thrives in our climate, and offers year-round beauty—from spring catkins to golden autumn colour and striking white bark through winter.
