Description
Acer freemanii Autumn Blaze, also known as Jeffersred, is a large deciduous tree with an ascending branch habit and stunning autumn colour. It has a dense, rounded crown of bright green leaves throughout the summer. The leaves turn vibrant shades of orange to crimson red in autumn. The delicate foliage holds its colour for several weeks before shedding to the ground. Its smooth grey bark becomes slightly furrowed with age, adding some interest for the winter months. Grows to a mature height of 8-12m with a spread of about 8m.
