Description
A very compact weeping form of Japanese Maple with delicate cascading branches. In summer, its leaves are bright lime-green in colour, before later turning all shades of yellow, orange and red in its stunning autumn display. Its weeping habit gives this tree an interesting shape, so even after the leaves fall for the winter it can still make for an attractive focal point or feature in the garden. It grows to only 2m high, with a weeping spread of about 1m. Its compact size means it will also work well in pots. A sheltered site is advised, with preferably some dappled shade that will avoid the leaves becoming scorched from hot afternoon direct sun.
