Description
Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’ is a hardy evergreen ground cover which is perfect for shady areas. It forms a low, dense carpet of rounded multi-coloured leaves, silvery-green in colour with pink to burgundy splashes. Short spikes of striking deep blue flowers appear in mid to late spring, which can sometimes continue into to early summer. It will grow well in pots, rockeries and path/curb edges, providing the area is not too prone to drought. The flowers are attractive to pollinators, and its evergreen leaves means it maintains some winter interest.
