Description
Ajuga reptans, also known as Bugle, is a native evergreen ground cover spreading plant that produces spikes of bright blue flowers in the spring, which are highly attractive to early pollinators. Its dark green year-round foliage can be useful to suppress weeds under trees and shrubs, as it gradually spreads and covers exposed areas. It prefers shaded areas, and can be used to cover banks, shaded corners and other difficult planting areas.
