Description
Camellia japonica ‘ Rosedale’s Beauty’ has a peony like, double, intense pink flower.
Camellia’s are splendid evergreen shrubs with leathery, shiny foliage. It has an upright shape, reaches a height of about 3metres with a slow growth habit. Magnificent flowering from late winter to spring, depending on the temperature.
Camellias enemies; the sun and frost that ruin the flower but not the plant, which will be fine again for next season should the temperature drop too low for the flower in the early part of the year . A shaded and sheltered position is therefore needed. They require acid soils and frequent watering during the summer.
