Description

Crataegus monogyna, commonly known as Hawthorn, is a small, rounded deciduous tree with glossy, deeply lobed green leaves. In May, flat sprays of cream flowers are produced which gradually change to light pink as we come into June. The flowers are followed by dark red berries in autumn. A fantastic tree for boundaries, mixed hedges and open green space, with many wildlife benefits particularly for pollinators and birds.
