Description
Crataegus prunifolia ‘splendens’ or ‘frosted thorn’ is an extremely useful specimen tree which provides interest for much of the year. With dark green broad leaves and a beautiful display of white blooms in the late spring. Later in the year it will give a wonderful display of Autumn colours with red fruits that last into the winter providing some much needed colour at this time of the year. A favourite amongst pollinators and gardeners alike. With a mature height of only 4 to 5 meters it is perfect for a small garden or a centre piece in a large bed.
Fully hardy and suitable to most sites as long as they are well drained, including coastal areas.
