A very compact, mat-forming perennial that produces beautifully dainty pink flowers in late spring/early summer, which can often continue throughout the summer and autumn. This alpine/rockery plant is great for growing in wall cracks and between stones, rocks and boulders. It loves a full sun area, and well-draining soil is essential. It’s very low growing, up to about 10cm, so would need to be positioned on the edges of borders and raised beds, or would be an ideal plant for pots or containers. Some of its dark green foliage can sometimes be retained during the winter providing suitable conditions.
