Description
Gleditsia triacanthos, also known as Honey Locust or Sweet Locust, is a vigorous medium to large sized tree with an upright, spreading habit. Foliage emerges a golden yellow colour in the spring, which turns to a soft green over the summer months, before returning to yellow in its autumn display before the leaves fall for the winter. The bark is almost grey in colour, with long, narrow fissures that can provide some additional interest. It can reach heights of 12-15m or more, with a spread of 8-12m approx.
