Description
As its name implies, Hydrangea arborescens ‘Strong Annabelle’ is a stronger, sturdier cultivar of the much loved ‘Hydrangea ‘Annabelle’. The enormous, rounded heads of white florets stand proud on the strong stems of this deciduous shrub, even in exposed positions. Unlike many Hydrangea arborescens varieties, this well branched Hydrangea rarely flops due to its well branched, compact growth habit. A superb specimen for a shaded border or woodland garden. Height and spread: 150cm/5ft.
Just like Annabelle but stronger, plants are supplied to flower in July – September and planting when not in flower and maybe not quite as big is advised, flowering fabulously in your garden. Think fresh, seasonal, locally grown vegetables vs imported ones stored for months, out of season, the choice is obvious.
