Description
Malus floribunda ‘Coccinella’, also known as Coccinella Crab Apple or Malus ‘Courtarou’, is a form of Japanese Crab Apple that produces masses of deep pink flowers in late spring, that are later followed by small red to orange fruits in the autumn, which persist into the winter. In early spring, the leaves emeerge purple-red in colour, before maturing to deep green over the summer. In autumn, leaves will turn yellow to orange before falling.
A very attractive tree with many wildlife benefits, and a nice compact ultimate size of 4-6m with a spread of 3-4m that will work beautifully in gardens of any size.
