Malus ‘Golden Hornet’, one of the most popular Crab apple cultivars has long been an Irish garden favourite due mainly to its abundant yellow fruit that cover the tree during the autumn season. In spring it can be seen covered in white flowers that open from pink buds.

Like most crab apples Golden Hornet grows well on any reasonable soil and is an excellent reliable garden performer growing to a height of approximately 5-7 meters. Truly a highlight in any garden during spring and autumn, these trees are fully hardy.
