Malus ‘Indian Magic’ / Crab Apple

Description

Malus ‘Indian Magic’ is a top favourite amongst that vast selection of ornamental Crab Apple varieties. In late spring an abundance of pink blossoms is produced on every stem, putting on a fabulous display similar to that typically associated with Cherry Blossoms, although the flowering time is a little bit later, occurring in May. New foliage emerges just after flowering, and has an attractive bronze tint in the young leaves before they mature to green for the summer. As autumn sets in, the foliage turns bright yellow in colour, which contrasts beautifully against the clusters of small red fruits that have also developed. The fruits usually persist into the winter, sometimes lasting on the tree until January. The fruits will lighten in colour to orange the longer they are held on the tree.

A small tree, growing to about 4-6m tall with a similar spread, it is the perfect addition to any garden!
