Description
Known as the ‘Red-twigged Lime,’ this Lime tree has young shoots that are bright brownish-red that stand out well in the winter.
The overall shape of the tree is broadly columnar and so lends itself to being a large avenue tree or stately specimen tree. It flowers in late June to early July with fragrant yellow flowers making it attractive to bees and other pollinators.
