This beautiful Japanese Wisteria hybrid produces long, drooping racemes with fragrant, pea-like flowers that are white in colour. The flowers emerge in May along with leaves, and are followed by seed-pods late summer. Pinnate leaves look rather exotic and densely cover the plant and its support from the ground level. They are light green, deciduous and turn yellow in autumn.
Wisterias need a strong trellis or a fence to climb, while tree forms need a good support only until their trunk hardens enough to hold the crown.
