Description
Cladrastis ‘kentukea’, or Kentucky yellowwood, native to the Southern United States. A rare tree, especially in this side of the world. With its smooth grey bark, spreading habit and bright light green leaves of up to 30cm turning yellow in Autumn, it makes a beautiful specimen tree. It can reach a mature height of up to 9 meters and a spread of 8 meters. Produces heavily scented flowers in the Summer on long wisteria like racemes of 25-30cm in length. Grow in a sheltered sunny spot, with a fertile well drained soil.
