Description
Lagerstroemia ‘Tuscarora’ or Crape Myrtle as it is better known is a delightful small tree which produces an abundance of deep pink flowers in the Summer which can last into the Autumn with regular deadheading. With bright green foliage turning to shades of orange and red in the Autumn it is an eye catching stand alone feature tree, perfect even in a smaller garden. With a its textured peeling bark it also offers interest in the Winter months.
Though hardy to get the full benefit of its flowering season it is best planted in a sunny spot away from stronger winds. Pruning is best done during the dormant period before new growth begins
