Lonicera henryi

Description

The new foliage of this (almost) evergreen, twining climber emerge a distinctive bronze colour, but gradually fade to green as they age. From early summer the yellow flowers start to appear, these contrasting beautifully with the colourful foliage.

This climber is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In a very cold year, it may lose them all, but then fresh new foliage appears again in spring.

It flowers June – July and is reasonably fast growing and can if left unchecked grow to 7-8 metres tall
