Description
Weigelas are easy-to-grow, undemanding plants that soon develop into fine leafy shrubs with showy early summer flowers and, in some cases, attractive variegated foliage. Their funnel-shaped flowers are well loved by bumblebees.
Weigela florida ‘Alexandra’ is an unmissable variety with striking bronze-purple leaves and prolific hot-pink blooms. Perfect for a warm sunny site, it works well with a variety of herbaceous perennials and other shrubs. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it the prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
