Description
The Gymnocladus dioica or Kentucky coffee tree is a native of the north eastern and central United States. With leaves of up to 90cm long and broken down into multiple leaflets, emerging from pink buds before turning green and then bright yellow in the Autumn. Though deciduous it also offers winter interest with its roughly textured bark laced with irregular furrows making it an excellent choice for a feature tree in a medium or large sized garden.
Prefers moist well drained soil in a sunny location
