Description

Taxus bac. ‘Fastigiata Robusta’ is a columnar form of Yew with a very neat, narrow upright habit. The new branches grow straight upwards, in pencil-like form, but can slowly start to bend more outwards after it reaches its mature height. Glossy evergreen needles are dark green in colour, and so provide structure, colour and contrast year-round. It is extremely hardy, and very easy to maintain as it can be shaped and pruned as needed to keep it at any desired height or fullness. It grows slowly to a maximum height of anywhere between 4-8m, while maintaining a max. width of 2-3m. It can be used as a hedge, or as structural focal points in the garden.
